Position Responsibilities
The incumbent is expected to perform the following functions that the company has determined are essential to this position:
- Communicate with Suppliers/Plant side for Supplier issues to identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention while following standard procedures. Resolve issue as needed.
- Pull information as needed for Site Lead/Project Lead/AWA Buyers
- Review, summarize and analyze various data as requested for presentations or other purposes.
- Scan and File Documents (Quotes/Supplier Responses/Old Documents to system)
- Organize info and results into Excel/report form (Countermeasure/FUPs/Retros/Data)
- Research Issues (Past Quotes/Usages/Root Analysis/Supplier Info)
- Travel to other Plants/possibly Suppliers potential overnight (Go and See-issues)
- Support Plants as needed (Inventory/Counter measure/Investigation)
- Support and assist in data management improvement activities.
- Demonstrates initiative in your role by identifying opportunities to improve processes and overall efficiency.
- Other tasks and duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Experience in manufacturing industry with understanding of standard job functions and requirements within the industry.
- Strong Excel & Microsoft office knowledge
- Strong data analytical/entry skills
- Self-Directed/Team Collaborate
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
Beneficial Skills and Experience
- Experience in automotive industry with understanding of standard job functions and requirements within the industry.
- Prior purchasing/production control experience in automotive industry or industrial environment.
- Ability to multi-task
Education/Training/Certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent minimum, additional education preferred.
Travel Requirements
- Approximately 10% per month
- Must be willing and available to travel to such locations and with such frequency as is necessary and desirable to meet business needs.
